Return Policy

Prior authorization and an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number are required before a return can be processed. Contact Air Power at web@airpowerinc.com or call us at 800-938-7278. Return shipping costs are at the customer’s expense.

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify application eligibility prior to starting the installation. Air Power is not responsible for parts installed incorrectly due to suggested applicability. It is the duty of the purchaser/installer/mechanic to determine eligibility.

Some items that cannot be returned include:

  • Engines
  • Propellers
  • Items marked as “Non-Returnable or Non-Cancellable” due to manufacturers requirements. Not all parts are marked online as such. Air Power will make efforts to notify of this status prior to placing orders.
  • Any part that has been used, tested, or installed.
  • Parts with a shelf life.
  • Clearance or final sale items.
  • Special order items.

Items that are eligible for return as outlined below may be returned for credit or refund within 45 days of shipment if the following conditions are met:

  • Parts are returned in the original manufacturer’s box with no markings or labels on box.
  • Parts are returned with all original paperwork including FAA Form 8130.
  • Parts must be returned new, resalable and in uninstalled condition.
  • Complete with instructions and all components provided by the manufacturer.
  • A 10% restock fee (minimum $50).

Credits for items outside of 45 days are evaluated by Air Power on a case-by-case basis. If the RMA is approved, the return is subject to:

  • Identical condition terms as described above.
  • A 10% restock fee (minimum $50).
  • Any manufacturer test or recertification fees.
  • Air Power account credit will be issued.

Defective items outside of 40 days must follow the applicable manufacturer’s warranty policy. For specific questions, contact Air Power for guidance.

Exceptions

Due to manufacturer policies, some manufacturers charge restocking fees above what Air Power charges. In those events, you may be charged a restock fee identical to those of the manufacturer.

Damaged Items

Each parcel carrier automatically offers $100 USD of carrier’s insurance against loss or damage. Air Power will provide additional insurance as required to ensure full insurance coverage. Please open and examine all packages carefully and promptly after arrival. Notify Air Power immediately of any discrepancies in the order. If the item(s) are received in damaged condition or the carrier fails to deliver the entire shipment as shown on the Invoice, make note of the damage or shortage and ask the carrier to sign it.

For items shipped on the customer account, or items ordered with expedited shipping, customers must opt out of additional insurance via email or through the Special Instructions box on your web order. Air Power is unable to coordinate shipping claims on items shipped through a customer account.

Please ship your return with the RMA number clearly on the shipping box, not the product box, prepaid and insured to:
